Shimon Peres – R.I.P.

First I would like to pay a personal tribute to the man who could have brought a permanent peace to the Middle East.

I always believed, for most of my lifetime, that Peres, together with Golda Meir were the two singular individual leaders with the potential and capability of achieving this elusive Nirvana.

His passing ends an era where there existed leaders in Israel with a genuine desire for a true, a just and a permanent peace with the Palestinians.

I only met him on one occasion – and we had a disagreement which, thankfully, fell short of a publicly voiced argument, as I held my counsel; and which I never capitalized on afterwards for personal benefit.

My disagreement with Shimon Peres can partly be gauged when I was invited to address a B'Nai B'rith function (which has had more prominent individuals than me - such as the Israeli Ambassador) as the guest speaker.

(For security reasons and as it was a private function, I will not say here where it was held.)

I was asked a particular question after my talk to several hundred members and that was 'did I believe the Peace Process (at that time) would succeed? ' My answer was that I did not and that it would be a total failure.

It was just not sustainable with such unreliable partners as Saudi Arabia lurking in the background and the Palestinians running off to Riyadh, Baghdad and Damascus to ensure that finance would not be cut off when a final peace accord was signed with Israel.

The Saudis are one of the most untrustworthy and duplicitous of partners, for a Middle East permanent peace, you could ever hope or imagine to have.

They always were and they always will be whilst the House of Saud holds sway.

(In this world, there are usually good and bad tyrants. The House of Saud however, is just rotten to the core. Even more frustrating, given the present situation in the region, the only thing worse than the House of Saud is it's removal.)

Besides, the absence of a peace between Israel and Palestine and the concept of 'Arab renewal' in the form 'Islamic States' similar to ISIL/ISIS, keeps the minds of the Arab populace, as a whole, across North Africa and the Middle East, off democratic reform issues inside all these Muslim tyrannies (Sunni and Shia) throughout the region.

So Shimon Peres, God give him rest, never delivered on a permanent peace - for which he (falsely) accepted a Nobel Peace Prize (!) None of them -Yitzhak Rabin, Bill Clinton, Yasser Arafat, delivered permanent peace.

Just you look at the chaos and barriers of separation in the region today - with their (unresolved) political problems (and our stupid Western Christian politicians' military interventions and overthrowing Muslim regimes in Muslim lands - fueling the chaos and instabilities) are now overspilling into the whole of Europe and directly affecting political and social stability across Christendom.

The whole 'peace' process was a complete sham and farce from beginning to end, in my opinion.

Indeed I would argue that, at one level, we have ended up with the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/Daesh) and its extremist proponents as a direct result of the absence of a permanent peace process (from that failed Camp David accord) which gives security to Israel and a homeland State with secure internationally recognised borders, to the Palestinian people.

Shimon Peres was surprised (and I think a little annoyed and upset) at my 'response' to his gesture of friendship – but there were issues I could never reconcile about a peace treaty with such an unreliable partner and its even more unreliable allies.

I said so in as many words during question time (when attending members were invited to quiz me about any issues I had raised in my talk.)

We never met again. I still to this day maintain that the peace process was (and is) doomed since there was not (nor is there today) a democratic nor reliable peace partner anywhere in the region.

[Until last year, Israel has been (unwisely) treating ISIL/Daesh fighters who managed to reach the Golan Heights and 'volunteers' assisting with 'health emergencies' in Jordan and elsewhere. You didn't know this? You need to be better informed than what you see on CNN.]

In the absence of a peace process, better to say today that there exists converging interests (for oil, gas, mineral resources exploration, development and water management sustainability) between antagonists and protagonists rather than any real and genuine desire for permanent peace amongst any of the

conflicting entities.

The history books will give, as they do in all countries, the usual false account of Shimon Peres' role in the Middle East 'Peace Process' and fail to point out that this particular whole process was a complete and utter failure.

I ask you to ask yourself: where is the peace for which Mr Peres received his Nobel Peace Prize?

(Indeed where is 'the peace' for which President Obama received his Nobel Peace Prize?)

Such is the planet we live on (!)

Perhaps it's just me. I probably have a few defective brain cells and genes - so the 'traditional' industrial mass populace media 'brainwashing' to facilitate my acceptance of war=peace and peace=war, 'love is hate and hate is love' never quite succeeded down on 'the farm'¹I was tagged for processing at, as 'useable' fodder (!)

13 Hours – The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi

This is a story about the efforts of military personnel, diplomatic staff and private contractors to protect an impossible CIA 'ghost' location (covert base) - given the meagre human resources which they were allocated.

Once you start applying the commercial market to safety and security lives are at inevitably risk. We saw this in the supply of equipment to allied forces in Afghanistan, Iraq and in the low-resourcing of protection teams, assets, and likewise the paucity of resources allocated for the protection of Ambassador Chris Stevens in Libya.

(Interestingly, the film obliquely blames Ambassador Stevens himself for the low security detail allocated. You need to read the Official Reports – which you will find at this blogsite – and then decide this matter for yourself. I have read all the Official released reports and have my own view on this issue.)

Ambassador Stevens was brutally butchered by ISIL-affiliated militias during this U.S. compound siege in Benghazi.

You may well conclude the following after both watching this film THEN reading the Official Reports on Benghazi at this blogsite:

When former heads of State are imprisoned or murdered by new tyrants – to our applause - and Ambassadors are getting murdered;when military rescue teams don't know whether they are coming or going, you can pretty much assume a dramatic failure in the process of delegated political leadership from the very top of the political (and military) command chain.

You also need to appreciate that what happened to the protection team during the compound siege at Benghazi was probably at least 5 times worse that this sanitized and dramatized version.

Don't Believe What They Teach You In Diplomatic School!

Don't ever forget during your lifetime that when you see any embassy of any country being burnt to the ground anywhere in the world and its Staff being dragged out and butchered like animals in a slaughterhouse, apart from the obvious protective security failure, this always represents, a total and abysmal failure of both politics and diplomacy.

(I saw my first embassy being burnt to the ground before I reached the age of sixteen – I was standing no more than a few hundred feet away - amongst a very very angry, distraught and maddening crowd, many swept away in the group - and tribal - hysteria of the moment - and have seen 2 Ambassadors I met personally (one for a courtesy NATO-Atlantic Council delegate briefing in Turkey) brutally assassinated, and butchered, in the course of my lifetime.)

A depressing film - with no happy ending – but more honest to form than is usual from Hollywood .

We had no problem in Libya with Ghadafi. Thanks to President Ronald Reagan (and to a lesser extent also to the policies of President George Bush, Jnr.) President Moammar Gadhafi had already surrendered all his nuclear weapons research programs and was cooperating fully with all international organizations for the development of the peaceful use of nuclear technology.

His tyranny in Libya was benevolent – and his chief political prisoners were Al Qaeda and ISIL militants and their supporters (which, incidentally, we let loose on the country following his overthrow. You didn't know that? You need to be better informed than that what you see on CNN and read in the mainstream press.)

(Perhaps, some day, one of you younger individuals reading this alternative blog will write a book or article - the truth about why Gadhafi was really overthrown?)

A 'must see' film should you be considering a career in the diplomatic service in any country. And should you, as luck, design or fate would have it, be at the receiving end of a difficult posting, forget the glamour of diplomatic life from bygone eras. It only existed for the privileged few. Throw away your notes from diplomatic school as it is unlikley they will save you when the sh*t hits the fan. Get more uniquely (and unashamedly) 'native' and 'streetwise' for any potential extremes and challenges - and you may have a slim chance of coming back home, alive, and in one piece.

Also, not to forget : unlike what you see in the film, put not your fate nor faith in 'the Cavalry' arriving in time to save your sweet (and sorry) ass (!)

Burkini or Birthday Suit?

I am of an age where I still can remember the Beach ('La Plage' or 'La Promenade') used to be a place most people went not to have a fight but just to wallow-up the sunshine and escape from the cares and worries of everyday life for a few hours or, if they were lucky (or kids bunking off school) for the entire day.

It was only during this time when I met up with my non-Catholic friends (Jewish and Church of England) since most of my school life was pretty regulated by convention – rugby, other sports, helping out with voluntary Catholic Aid activities such sorting stamps for sale to help the Foreign Missionaries in Africa, Asia and the Pacific. All our fund-raising was, by today's standards, of a very benign nature and all profits went to help educate Christian children and their parents in the Third World.

Mind you, I now appreciate that it was not every child who 'volunteered' his time on Saturdays or Sunday afternoons, after Mass, for such selfless activities. I think those of us volunteering might have got, as 'thank you' from the Marist Priests running the Program, a mug of tea and a few 'Marietta' biscuits. But that was not why we volunteered. It was something about helping those less fortunate than ourselves. That was what it was really all about. I don't see this kind of enthusiasm today - with children all wrapped up and consumed in their digital gagets and their world of cyberspace, with little time for anyone but themselves and their personal needs.

Leper!

Not too long ago I was travelling on an Arab Airline.

You know what it's like with everyone trying to get past you to get to their seat.

Several women wearing Burkas were in front of me and taking an inordinate amount of time to sort themselves out. I needed to pass to get to my seat – with at least 20 people behind me anxious to move.

As I attempted to pass one Burka-clad woman intervened and started screaming something to the effect that there should be 'empty space' between me and 'them' (women wearing burkas) – a totally impractical situation along the aisle of 'Economy' class. The plane was not even a 'Dreamliner' but a bog-standard 747 or something of the like.

With me in my shorts and tee-shirt and general 'Western' appearance, they felt that I was attired improperly (immodestly?) and, as a male, that I should not be standing so close to them. Fortunately a member of the Cabin Staff (Muslim, I think) intervened and told them in Arabic they were behaving stupidly and they should get out of the way and let me and others continue on to our seats further down the plane as they were the cause of this delay and not myself or the passengers anxiously standing behind me.

Stand Your Ground!

It strikes me that this issue of Burkinis on beaches represents an activist minority of individuals who have take their cues from militant ISIL-Al Qaeda-supporting hate-sermoned Imams who say the following , in a nutshell, to their 'flock':

'Use your wives and females to promote and advance the glory of Islam!'; ''Challenge the infidel at every opportunity. Their (secular) system is so weak (in comparison to that of theocratic Islam) that eventually it will crumble under the popular pressure we ('the Umma') exert and Islam will ultimately triumph.''

Knee-Jerk Racists

Politicians (and the populace at large) tend towards knee-jerk reactions: 'Ban The Burkini!', 'Get Them Off The Beach!' 'No Muslims Here!' 'Ban All Muslims' etc. etc. etc. Most of such reactions have racism (often violent racism) at their core and have no basis in actual reality to the issues being hotly contested - simply providing the basis for racists to vent hatreds against others whom they despise.

Indeed by introducing such measures we are actually imprisoning ourselves as we are behaving in exactly the manner which conjoins - rather than diffuses - the conflict. Such measures play perfectly into the hands of the other fanatical racists – the hate-sermoned Imams – who will use such as a justification to 'Holy Jihad' since they will twist such actions to justify why all Muslims throughout Christendom can resist such discrimination - with targeted and indiscriminate violence: (sic. A condition under which 'Holy Jihad' is justified exists when and where Muslims are prevented from exercising the practice of their faith.)

There is, actually, a very simple solution which bypasses all the hate-mongers on all sides:

The Birthday Suit Effect

Do not ban the Burkini but make Nudism perfectly acceptable on all public beaches throughout Christendom and make it a criminal offence for anyone to discriminate against nudists in any way on any public or Municipal beach.

It is then up to beach-loving Muslims as to whether they can 'tolerate' the exercise of 'freedom of choice' in a secular society or they wish to withdraw to a more private environment to exercise their democratic right to 'quiet enjoyment'.

It's not a perfect solution – but life is not perfect -and neither are the problems which we have to negotiate.

[In my own particular case it would not at all surprise me if special legislation was introduced to ensure that I remained covered-up at all times - on the grounds of public decency -as my half pot-pig beer belly might frighten the cats and dogs on beaches - and cause general mayhem and panic (!)]

An Election You May Have Missed

The British Labour (Labor) Party Leadership Election Debate

Owen Smith versus Jeremy Corbyn

(What the mainstream media will not tell you about it)

(If you are a Labour Party Member, exercise your right to vote!)

I had an opportunity to share part of an afternoon's train journey with Mr Corbyn, long before he became a well-known figure in British national politics.

Apart from that, the only other time we ever met was on a BBC World Television (BBC World 'Asia Today') programme discussion about Islamic terrorism in the Southern Philippines several years previous.

What This Leadership Election Is All About – And Why Even Mr Corbyn Has To Remain 'Silent' For Fear Of Being branded 'paranoid ' or 'anti-Semitic'

[I frequently refer to such political 'silence' as corollary to 'child molestation']

Owen Smith is 'in the pocket' of 'Zionist' Jews who, up until fairly recently, have been both the most loyal backers and staunch financial supporters and patrons of both major British political parties.

Jeremy Corbyn has a long history of support of anti-Zionist (and sometimes also anti-Semitic) 'revolutionary' 'nationalist' 'freedom-struggle' political movements - from Sinn Fein (the political wing of the IRA – the Irish Republican Army) to the Palestinians to Hamas and Hezbollah.

[I need to point out that Mr Corbyn has never knowingly supported ISIS/ISIL/the Islamic State or any other similar fanatical groups in the Muslim world. Reports are that 'conspiracies' have attempted to 'entrap' Mr Corbyn to portray him as knowingly supporting extremists. When all such matters are carefully examined, we do indeed find situations of individuals actively engaged in a process (for parties unknown) to 'entrap' Mr Corbyn into utterances of support for individuals or groups about which he has had little active engagement or knowledge.]

So Smith gets his financial backing and political support from racist Zionist Jews. Corbyn gets his from racist Jew-hating Muslims and Arabs (Christian and Muslim.) Don't automatically assume that just because they are Arab Christians, that (some) do not share many of the cultural and social 'affinities' as their Arab Muslim counterparts. A perfect balance of extremes! (in my view.)

Over the Hedge!

Of course both factions of the Labour Party don't just get support from these 'lunatic' fringes – the looney left and the right – but from a wider sector of supporters (the majority) totally oblivious to the machinations of the 1% who trade pounds of flesh for control of both wings of the Party.

Remember too, I'm just talking about internal 'battles' within the British Labour Party – in case you thought I (or you!) were getting lost and confused - and I was rambling through the entire spectrum of British politics (!)

'Zack' Goldsmith from the British Conservative Party (you may recall from my previous article) was the Zionist 'Jew versus Muslim' candidate in the Mayoral election of London.

These quoted words above were not originally my own but borrowed from an article in an Israeli newspaper which I quoted from in that blog.

Who Pays The Piper?

So who then does Owen Smith answer to? The answer is, initially, informally, to the British Labour Party Zionist Jewess, Lady Margaret Hodge, a former Leader of a London Borough plagued with paedophile scandals who was accused in the mainstream media of nepotism (involving a member of her own family) in order to prevent full and open disclosure about known sex crimes against children in care by her senior staff and political figures for decades in the London Borough which she controlled. (I have covered this in a previous blog with controversial references you will never find in the mainstream British press.)

How about Corbyn? Well he answers to so many 'proletariat' groups on the left ('Socialist democracy' I think they call it)

that it would fill pages. Lets just say that he does not answer to any secret shadowy factions nor to any groups with direct links to foreign governments which present the potential capability of undermining our democratic system and ways of life. (In much the same way as 'Russia Today' (RT) Television Network, on behalf of Mr Putin, has decided to use it's potential reach to influence the outcome of the American General Election.)

Who Pays 'The Lady?'

Something I did not touch on before about 'Lady' Hodge is the means whereby she 'acquired' her 'title'.

In essence she contractually bought it from a financially 'ailing' individual – she bailed him out with her money - and they married – or maybe it was the other way round (!)

Nothing wrong here. No laws broken (as they might say.)

But it's just an observation the mainstream media will actively conspire to conceal from you within the British Isles.

If you think that was the interesting part of this blog, your far off the mark.

Lady Margaret Hodge, Madeleine McCann and The Blairs

You may recall that I have covered the issue of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann in some detail.

Again, Lady Margaret Hodge's footprint appears in this (once) exclusive Portuguese holiday resort of Praia da Luz at the time of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

This time it is another close relative whose private airplane took off from Praia da Luz within hours of the disappearance of the child Madeleine McCann. This plane was never forensically examined when it arrived at it's final destination (Switzerland.)

[At the time I wrote the blog and associated references it was not then revealed that Praia da Luz was an area frequented by known prominent and influential British Labour Party supporters who have now been identified and named by the British Police as paedophiles.]

There is no explanation (nor has there ever been questions asked, to the best of my knowledge, of the Swiss Government) as to why a private aeroplane with Swiss nationals on board, taking off from a major crime scene, in the era after 9/11, was not immediately seized, impounded and forensically examined on arrival in Switzerland, considering the national and international alert for the missing child already in place.

In the light of any such event taking place after 9/11 (and the possibility of a terrorist attack) it seems quite remarkable that the Swiss authorities would not immediately initiate the suspension and grounding of this aircraft and its removal for a thorough examination before release. To the best of my knowledge, this never happened.

To understand why the British public have been denied the full facts about the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, you need to read my previous blogs (and follow up the detailed references) to better appreciate the (alleged) cover-up, and more importantly, the (alleged) British political reputations the cover-ups are in place to protect.

So there you have it. Jeremy Corbyn versus Owen Smith.

Both battling it out for the position of leader of the British Labour Party. One supported by a Zionist faction the other by Muslims, Arabs, Palestinians and their supporters within the British Labour Party.

If I was a 'normal' moderate Labour Party member and aware of all this nonsense, I might even consider joining an alternative political party - with less 'baggage' - than both of the existing incumbents.

Journey's End

Only fairly recently (this year to be exact!) have the British mainstream press started to move just slightly away from the McCann's narrative – and that shift is more intended to protect the McCann's existing position than explore any other (alternative) evidence - which always existed – and which you can find in the reference sections of my previous blogs - about this unsolved disappearance.

Likewise an airport was involved. In this instance, I believe, all the relevant parties are (privately) aware of how this happened.

Since their 'mission' was of benefit to the security of the West as it was to Israel, it is in a slightly different category.

The reason I bring it up is that often extremist Zionist supporters, in governmental and quasi-governmental positions of influence, confuse political and criminal acts, out of loyalty, as equating, which they most certainly, in my opinion, do not.

In my opinion, apart from the issue of treason ( a very real issue in it's own right) there should be a recall process in place in order to prevent any candidate (or demagogue) in any democracy calling in a foreign power to commit an act of espionage against a rival U.S. Presidential candidate - as Donald Trump has called on Mr Vladimir Putin to assist him secure the Office of President of The United States.

For a candidate in any democratic country to 'call in' a hostile foreign power to do his or her bidding - be in in the provision of intelligence, personnel, assassins or 'agent provocateurs' during an election campaign (let alone at any other time) is an act of treason.
No democracy can properly function where is is being undermined both by it's own elected official at homes - and in league with foreign hostile superpowers - and being undermined through a process of infiltration and espionage from abroad (the FSB and their hacking of U.S. government officials private and official computers - in order to undermine the democratic institutions of our open democratic societies.)
Calling on hostile powers to provide other services - be they assassins or other personnel to subvert rivals is just one very short step from where Mr Trump currently exists.
This is just not acceptable and far beyond the Pale of all acceptable norms to achieve the highest Office with the responsibilities for security not just of the United States but also of the free world from the tyrannical forces just waiting for such a President 'to work with' in order to subvert the democratic world from within.

It is unprecedented that any U.S. presidential candidate would accuse a rival's family (Ted Cruz) of being implicitly guilty of the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, or ask the Russian FSB to perform an act of sabotage within the United States in order to further his own political ends - yet this is exactly what Mr Donald Trump has encouraged and pleaded from the tyrannical superpower rival of the United States, the most evil regime in the world, headed by a dictator and tyrant, Vladimir Putin, to undertake in order to defeat Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Be Careful What You Wish For (!)
If they cannot see exactly the kind of demagogue they are electing or if their hatred is so blind that they would rather America turns into North Korea or The Russian Federation - both countries ruled by tyrants who have no time for democracy - then they too are also blind to the existing pre-eminence of the United States as the world's greatest and most dynamic democracy and superpower on this planet.

Isolationism
There is no doubt that, as during the time of the rise of Adolf Hitler, there is desire by a minority of extremists who would like to see America isolationist and to regain it's 'pure' 'national identity'.

This in itself is something of an illusion - but a very powerful exhortation to be manipulated by any tyrant or dictator - especially pandering to extreme nationalists and racists.

Why We Should Be Speaking Mandarin or Cantonese Today
(Decline and Fall of An Empire)

I would like to relate a short informal discussion which I recently had with a number of individuals
I say informal because that's exactly the setting we were all in - an informal setting where we could just have a heart-to-heart- chat.

I reminded our gathering that about 200 years before Christopher Columbus, Imperial China has assembled the greatest fleet ever to sail the China (and South China) seas. This Treasure Fleet (The Great Treasure Fleet) was tasked with spreading the influence of The Empire - and is today the reason we see thriving Chinese communities in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, The Malacca Straits. This Great Treasure Fleet reached as far as Ceylon ('Sri' Lanka - 'Blessed' Land) and Zanzibar - and a small community which can trace it's origin to China still exists here even today.
The ships were at least two and a half times bigger than those of Christopher Columbus - yet sailed from China to the shores of Africa, Arabia, Yemen, two hundred years earlier.
If this expansion had continued, today, I have no doubt, that the empire of China would easily have reached America at least 200 years before Columbus - and that we would all be speaking Cantonese and Mandarin, instead of English, today.
What halted this great expansion was the rise of fascism (Nazism) within China: Confucius and Confucianism.
'China for the Chinese' 'A pure China' 'Only pure Chinese Blood qualifies to be Chinese' 'All foreigners are to be regarded as hostile.' These were the slogans which progressed China into an era of fascism and extreme neo-nationalism.
Confucianism became very popular - and Chinese expansionism halted - since incorporating foreigners within the Empire was 'unpatriotic'.
(I should mention that aboard the Treasure Fleet were girls and women of royal lineage to be married into 'conquered' territories - but their children would also have claim on the Royal throne by virtue of birth - another reason the Chinese fascists and neo-nationalists opposed incorporation of foreign lands - and permanently blotted out from the royal records any mention of these girls and women as nothing other than 'prostitutes' and 'imposters' to be married off to foreign leaders and royal households 'in deceit' rather than what they really were - persons of royal lineage.)
Two hundred years later Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand financed expeditions by Christopher Columbus to seek new territories, new wealth and a new pathway to the riches of the Orient for Christendom. The rest you know.
But for this quirk of history we would all, no doubt, be speaking Cantonese and Mandarin today, with China, as the pre-eminent superpower on the planet.

I hope and pray that Americans do not elect a President in the Fall who would, in a heartbeat, sell to the highest bidder, all our cherished values, as much out of vanity as out of demagoguery and the desire for eternal personal tyranny.

'Congress Should Declare War'
(Donald Trump)

[Je Suis......ISIL]

In what I regard as only too typical of Islamc State-inspired evil, yet another despicable act of inhumanity has been committed - purportedly in the name of Islam, in Nice, on Bastille Day.

To capture the political moment, a most incredibly naive statement has been made by the (presumptive) Republican Candidate for the U.S. Presidency in the fall, Donald Trump:
''Congress Should Declare War''

''Je Suis ........''

You simply cannot declare war on non-state actors - international terrorists - who operate globally with no central HQ and where the command structure is so diversified that any (temporarily or chronically) deranged person, with any grudge against society, a local community, set of individuals or individual, and on such premise, in the name of Islam under the banner of ''Je Suis ISIL'' (on this occasion) declares war on his/her next door neighbors, jumps over the garden fence and machine-guns everyone at a childrens' garden party. [I am being blunt in the most extreme to clarify the message loud and clear.]
However expect such naive statements to appear over the coming days, weeks and months as the sheer exasperation of how to respond becomes evident from politicians - and those seeking political offices - wallowing in the blood and on the backs of human tragedy to serve their very own ultimate political goals.
This is the unfortunate naked truth we are facing - but don't expect the politicians to ever tell you that truth.

Is There Any Solution?

Increased Vigilance
The short-term solutions are increasing vigilance - but certainly not mass 'stop and searches' or 'mass incarcerations' of Muslims - this would be playing into the hands of a very evil entity which would like to move the world into the ISIS-philosophical state of all-out-war:Islam v the Infidels, worldwide.

Destruction of The State-Inspired Backer-The Islamic State or Caliphate
President Obama had not got the motivation to do it - he confused the destruction of the Islamic Caliphate with the destruction of Assad's Syria for ulterior political reasons. President Putin, likewise for political reasons, stopped short of 'finishing off' the Islamic State - and whose efforts were not helped by the U.S. (Obama Administration) openly refusing military cooperation with Russia - point blank - for this one critical mission.

Regulation Of Mosques and Islamic Centers
For years I have been looked at with some scepticism when I would say that more (proactive) efforts need to have been made to address the issue of how Al Qaeda/ Islamic State supporters have, even since before 9/11 'infiltrated' perfectly decent organizations and may be (silently) using them to 'promote' 'Islamic' agendas. The 'appearance' of Al Qaeda and subsequently ISIL were merely a consolidation of a 'thought process' of a very small extremist intelligensia within the Muslim religion. This is an issue completely off the radar screens of politicians (dare I say, some as as ignorant as 'fatboy' Boris - see my earlier blog where former London Mayor Johnson racially slurred President Obama during his visit to the United Kingdom to wish Her Majesty, The Queen of England, a happy 90th birthday) - since they fail to appreciate that such events are not 'instant' but part of more longer term processes which have backgrounds stretching over decades of discussion and debate - facilitated by modern technology.
(Johnsons' jealousy of Donald Trump's successes, as a businessman, is also evident in his disparaging comments about the Republican Party's candidate for the presidency.)

Increased Security
Certainly this is always possible for certain sites but, as we all know, you cannot offer protection for absolutely every institution, school, restaurant, shopping mall or other local community resource worldwide.
So Donald Trump's idea of a 'declaration of war' is simply not feasible for a non-state actor or entities which operate on the basis of sub-contracting and exhorting followers and individuals worldwide to kill or neutralize 'the Infidel' by any and every means available.
Even tomorrow should the Islamic Caliphate be eliminated as a functioning state, its 'supporters' (those who share the philosophical ideals of the 'perfect' Islamic world) will continue to exist and it may take just a very small event to 'trigger' an act which would be defined as 'terrorist' - thereby providing every opportunistic politician with the excuse for increasing totalitarian measures - be they fiscal ('fishing expeditions') restrictive of civil liberties, emergency anti-terrorist measures,all designed to 'consolidate' the power of the State in opposition to civil liberties.
So the 'bogeyman' of ISIL will exist long after a political decision is (some day) taken (and implemented) to eliminate the entity (Caliphate) as it has existed for two years, simply because it provides politicians with 'expedient' opportunities to effect the policies and technologies of political and social controls in every country throughout the world.
Sadly such exhortations will resonate positively with very angry, confused and (some) bigoted voters in the U.S. Presidential election in the Fall - anxious as they all will be for 'instant' problem solvers for what are complex and long-term problems.
ISIL is fully aware of this - which is why the Islamic State would 'welcome' the election of a President Donald Trump - as his bigoted thinking is totally in line with the demarcation and hatred they would desire to create - hastening the day of the ultimate conflict where Islam and Christianity are finally at war across this planet - and the 'Angels' of Islam will achieve a victorious battle against the Infidel (Satan) before the final 'Kingdom' of Allah - as 'prophesized' in their versions (and mistranslations) of Koranic scripture can be built worldwide, after the Devil (Satan - the Infidel-) and all it's structures of idolatry have been destroyed and erased from existence.
As they perceive the world, a President Donald Trump, by his nature and character, would, by his actions, more assist to bring this day closer than any other U.S. presidential candidate.

The fact of the matter is that such problems have no instant solutions - but do not expect Donald Trump to tell you that - since his appeal is to 'gut instinct', bigotry, divisive and insular communities rather than what is best for the nation, as a whole.

Our sympathies go out to the victims and families of such terrible (and quite evil - by most known standards of insurgency) events as those occurring on the Promenade des Anglais, Nice, on Bastille Day, the most espoused political day of the French social calendar, we must never lose sight of our humanity nor efforts to solve the core political and human rights issues which provide part of the motivations and background for such fanatics to draw support from,worldwide.
(I would add that support can come from committed religious as well as non-religious individuals and groups, all drawn together under the banner or slogan of ISIL - or it's future 'morphed' entity - as much out of local, national or international 'grievances'.)

'Off the Radar'
While increased vigilance and common sense should always be the order of the day, there is no total defense nor solutions against mental illness - nor a lone individual, group or non-state actors nor insurgents espousing causes, however demented or deranged, which will produce carnage and horrors, neither now nor in the future.

'Russia Today' Goes Bananas(!)

If It's Good News For Hillary Clinton's Presidential Campaign, It's Bad News For Moscow!

Russia Today, the television, news network and personal mouthpiece of President Vladimir Putin [ФСБ ] has gone berserk today because the FBI will not be filing charges against Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton. The network has made no secret that it considers Clinton a 'very dangerous' woman. On the same day that a former British Minister described a potential next British Premier (Theresa May) – also no great 'fan' of Putin - as 'a bloody difficult woman to work with' , it appears that the Kremlin will be having headaches and nightmares day and night should both women be elected into Offices later on this year.

The network has made no secret of it's wish for Donald Trump to be elected to the Office of President of The United States.

Clinton, a hawk on military issues, will give no ground on issues such as The Ukraine and the security of Poland and the Baltic States.

Under a Clinton administration we are likely to see defense commitments to Europe intensify with a new command structure specifically for the Nordic nations being initiated to provide greater security, cooperation and 'cross-platform' standardization to deter aggression.

The apologists for Vladimir Putin in Western Europe - have also not taken the FBI's decision not to charge Clinton with any great applause.

Historically, the Kremlin has always preferred to be dealing with demagogues and tyrants rather than with the likes of Hillary Clinton.

[It's always been much easier for the Kremlin to be dealing with 'useful idiots' who can be 'bought off' or who 'work' the Presidential Office on the basis that America is 'for sale' than with patriots such as Hillary Clinton.]

Russia Today, already 'frozen out' of most of the mainstream media loop in the United States, is increasingly reliant on far-left and far-right sympathisers for its coverage of local events. This is why the 'picture' of political, economic and social life which it paints of the United States through its flagship media network, is increasingly distorted.

For example, compare the 'violence' it covers in the exercise of civil rights demonstrations in the U.S. with the carefully choreographed State-sponsored and State-controlled 'peaceful' 'protest' (fake) 'demonstrations' which take place in Moscow and elsewhere in Putin's Russia.

While I don't see Russia Today being banned in the West nor in America (such would, in my opinion, be folly, naive, and highly undemocratic) I do see the network being even more isolated and increasingly ridiculed for its highly and wildly distorted coverage of news events in the West and in the United States.

This is no more evident than in its coverage of security and foreign policy matters.

As Russia Today intensifies the propaganda campaign to discredit Presidential hopeful, Hillary Clinton and her running mate, it should expect 'no mercy' and 'the death of a thousand cuts' should she be elected President in the Fall.

If I were to advise the network on strategy, it would be to give 'fair and balanced' coverage to the U.S. Presidential campaign - or suffer the consequences (such as being 'frozen out' even further) and many many more years of 'Tundra extremes' isolation in the aftermath.

When an ant eats this slime, the lancet liver fluke burrows into the ant’s brain and takes control of its mind. During the day the ant acts normally. But come evening, the ant will find the nearest blade of grass and climb it over and over again, until it is eaten by a grazing animal. If no animal comes along and eats it by the time the sun comes up, the ant goes back to its normal life… until the next evening when the process repeats itself. This strange cycle can continue for up to a year. When the ant is eventually eaten, it dies. But the lancet liver fluke moves to the animal’s liver where it lives out the rest of its days. While there the parasite produces more larvae which make its way out of the animal in its dung. Then a snail comes along and eats the dung. The parasite goes through the snail and is left in its slime trail. Then an ant comes along, eats the slime and ingests the parasite. The weirdest thing about an ant infested by the lancet liver fluke is that during the day it acts completely normal. It’s only at night that it becomes suicidal. There are many other parasites which do similar, crazy things to their hosts. Hairworms make crickets seek out water and drown themselves. Certain wasp larvae turn ladybirds into braindead bodyguards patrolling over wasp cocoons. Another species of wasp larvae invades the brain of its host caterpillar and cause it to whip about to scare off predators while the larvae’s siblings eat it from the inside out. Parasites are, frankly, terrifying. And the worst part is, we don’t even know how they achieve this mind control on their hosts. Although it’s never been officially confirmed, it’s not difficult to parse that Mueller cut the plea deal with Papadopoulos in order to get him to testify against his supervisor, Trump campaign co-chair Sam Clovis. If there were going to be a Clovis trial, Mueller would need Papadopoulos to testify that trial. So this means there will be no Clovis trial. Genome sequencing has given rise to a new generation of genetically engineered bioweapons carrying the potential to change the nature of modern warfare and defense.
Introduction
Biological weapons are designed to spread disease among people, plants, and animals through the introduction of toxins and microorganisms such as viruses and bacteria. The method through which a biological weapon is deployed depends on the agent itself, its preparation, its durability, and the route of infection. Attackers may disperse these agents through aerosols or food and water supplies (1).
Although bioweapons have been used in war for many centuries, a recent surge in genetic understanding, as well as a rapid growth in computational power, has allowed genetic engineering to play a larger role in the development of new bioweapons. In the bioweapon industry, genetic engineering can be used to manipulate genes to create new pathogenic characteristics aimed at enhancing the efficacy of the weapon through increased survivability, infectivity, virulence, and drug resistance (2). While the positive societal implications of improved biotechnology are apparent, the “black biology” of bioweapon development may be “one of the gravest threats we will face” (2).
Limits of Past Bioweapons
Prior to recent advances in genetic engineering, bioweapons were exclusively natural pathogens. Agents must fulfill numerous prerequisites to be considered effective military bioweapons, and most naturally occurring pathogens are ill suited for this purpose (3). First, bioweapons must be produced in large quantities. A pathogen can be obtained from the natural environment if enough can be collected to allow purification and testing of its properties. Otherwise, pathogens could be produced in a microbiology laboratory or bank, a process which is limited by pathogen accessibility and the safety with which the pathogens can be handled in facilities. To replicate viruses and some bacteria, living cells are required. The growth of large quantities of an agent can be limited by equipment, space, and the health risks associated with the handling of hazardous germs (1). In addition to large-scale production, effective bioweapons must act quickly, be environmentally robust, and their effects must be treatable for those who are implementing the bioweapon (3).
Recent Advances
As researchers continue to transition from the era of DNA sequencing into the era of DNA synthesis, it may soon become feasible to synthesize any virus whose DNA sequence is known (4). This was first demonstrated in 2001 when Dr. Eckard Wimmer re-created the poliovirus and again in 2005 when Dr. Jeffrey Taubenberger and Terrence Tumpey re-created the 1918 influenza virus (1). The progress of DNA synthesis technology will also allow for the creation of novel pathogens. According to biological warfare expert Dr. Steven Block, genetically engineered pathogens “could be made safer to handle, easier to distribute, capable of ethnic specificity, or be made to cause higher mortality rates” (2).
The growing accessibility of DNA synthesis capabilities, computational power, and information means that a growing number of people will have the capacity to produce bioweapons. Scientists have been able to transform the four letters of DNA—A (adenine), C (cytosine), G (guanine), and T (thymine)—into the ones and zeroes of binary code. This transformation makes genetic engineering a matter of electronic manipulation, which decreases the cost of the technique (4). According to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, “the emerging gene synthesis industry is making genetic material more widely available […] A crude but effective terrorist weapon can be made using a small sample of any number of widely available pathogens, inexpensive equipment, and college-level chemistry and biology.” (5)

Techniques to Enhance Efficacy of Bioweapons
Scientists and genetic engineers are considering several techniques to increase the efficacy of pathogens in warfare.
1. Binary Biological Weapons
This technique involves inserting plasmids, small bacterial DNA fragments, into the DNA of other bacteria in order to increase virulence or other pathogenic properties within the host bacteria (2).
2. Designer Genes
According to the European Bioinformatics Institute, as of December 2012, scientists had sequenced the genomes of 3139 viruses, 1016 plasmids, and 2167 bacteria, some of which are published on the internet and are therefore accessible to the public (6). With complete genomes available and the aforementioned advances in gene synthesis, scientists will soon be able to design pathogens by creating synthetic genes, synthetic viruses, and possibly entirely new organisms (2).
3. Gene Therapy
Gene therapy involves repairing or replacing a gene of an organism, permanently changing its genetic composition. By replacing existing genes with harmful genes, this technique can be used to manufacture bioweapons (2).
4. Stealth Viruses
Stealth viruses are viral infections that enter cells and remain dormant for an extended amount of time until triggered externally to cause disease. In the context of warfare, these viruses could be spread to a large population, and activation could either be delayed or used as a threat for blackmail (2).
5. Host-Swapping Diseases
Much like the naturally occurring West Nile and Ebola viruses, animal viruses could potentially be genetically modified and developed to infect humans as a potent biowarfare tactic (2).
6. Designer Diseases
Biotechnology may be used to manipulate cellular mechanisms to cause disease. For example, an agent could be designed to induce cells to multiply uncontrollably, as in cancer, or to initiate apoptosis, programmed cell death (2).
7. Personalized Bioweapons
In coming years it may be conceivable to design a pathogen that targets a specific person’s genome. This agent may spread through populations showing minimal or no symptoms, yet it would be fatal to the intended target (4).
Biodefense
In addition to creating bioweapons, the emerging tools of genetic knowledge and biological technology may be used as a means of defense against these weapons.
1. Human Genome Literacy
As scientific research continues to reveal the functions of specific genes and how genetic components affect disease in humans, vaccines and drugs can be designed to combat particular pathogens based on analysis of their particular molecular effect on the human cell (2).
2. Immune System Enhancement
In addition to enabling more effective drug development, human genome literacy allows for a better understanding of the immune system. Thus, genetic engineering can be used to enhance human immune response to pathogens. As an example, Dr. Ken Alibek is conducting cellular research in pursuit of protection against the bioweapon anthrax (2).
3. Viral and Bacterial Genome Literacy
Decoding the genomes of viruses and bacteria will lead to molecular explanations behind virulence and drug resistance. With this information, bacteria can be engineered to produce bioregulators against pathogens. For example, Xoma Corporation has patented a bactericidal/permeability-increasing (BPI) protein, made from genes inserted into bacterial DNA, which reverses the resistance characteristic of particular bacteria against some popular antibiotics (2).
4. Efficient Bio-Agent Detection and Identification Equipment
Because the capability of comparing genomes using DNA assays has already been acquired, such technology may be developed to identify pathogens using information from bacterial and viral genomes. Such a detector could be used to identify the composition of bioweapons based on their genomes, reducing present-day delays in resultant treatment and/or preventive measures (2).
5. New Vaccines
Current scientific research projects involve genetic manipulation of viruses to create vaccines that provide immunity against multiple diseases with a single treatment (2).
6. New Antibiotics and Antiviral Drugs
Currently, antibiotic drugs target DNA synthesis, protein synthesis, and cell-wall synthesis processes in bacterial cells. With an increased understanding of microbial genomes, other proteins essential to bacterial viability can be targeted to create new classes of antibiotics. Eventually, broad-spectrum, rather than protein-specific, anti-microbial drugs may be developed (2).
Future of Warfare
“The revolution in molecular biology and biotechnology can be considered as a potential Revolution of Military Affairs (RMA),” states Colonel Michael Ainscough, MD, MPH (2). According to Andrew Krepinevich, who originally coined the term RMA, “technological advancement, incorporation of this new technology into military systems, military operational advancement, and organizational adaptation in a way that fundamentally alters the character and conduct of conflict” are the four components that make up an RMA. For instance, the Gulf War has been classified as the beginning of the space information warfare RMA. “From the technological advances in biotechnology, biowarfare with genetically engineered pathogens may constitute a future such RMA,” says Ainscough (2).
In addition, the exponential increase in computational power combined with the accessibility of genetic information and biological tools to the general public and lack of governmental regulation raise concerns about the threat of biowarfare arising from outside the military (7). The US government has cited the efforts of terrorist networks, such as al Qaida, to recruit scientists capable of creating bioweapons as a national security concern and “has urged countries to be more open about their efforts to clamp down on the threat of bioweapons” (5).
Despite these efforts, biological research that can potentially lead to bioweapon development is “far more international, far more spread out, and far more diverse than nuclear science […] researchers communicate much more rapidly with one another by means that no government can control […] this was not true in the nuclear era,” according to David Kay, former chief U.S. weapons inspector in Iraq (7). Kay is “extraordinarily pessimistic that we [the United States] will take any of the necessary steps to avoid the threat of bioweapons absent their first actual use” (7).
“There are those who say: ‘the First World War was chemical; the Second World War was nuclear; and that the Third World War – God forbid – will be biological’” (2).

Jonestown, Guyana, was the scene of one of the most harrowing tragedies in American history. On November 18, 1978, at the direction of charismatic cult leader Jim Jones, 909 members of the People’s Temple died, all but two from apparent cyanide poisoning, in a “revolutionary suicide.” They included over 200 murdered children. A Cookie (or 'Spy!') is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.
Are You Being 'Cookied' At this Blogsite?
This Blogsite site only passively collects statistical information about world geographic locations of visitors, the types of devices used to access this blogsite and general statistical data which does not enable identification of visitors but merely passively records numerical information for trend analysis when someone visits the site.

New European Union Law

*controls/accesses the cookie-related information (website or third party - in other words, they may sell on your browsing habits to another 'Party'.)

*the cookie will not be used for any purpose other than the one stated

How Consent Can Be Withdrawn
As I mentioned earlier all sites will now be required to ask you for your permission to track you by actively placing cookies on your browsing device(s). You can say either 'yes' or 'no'. There should then follow a 'clickable' button so that the site acknowledges your consent or denial of consent.
(I am presuming it is then a criminal offense if they then go on, regardless, to place cookies on your device?: - the equivalent of internet (or virtual) rape(!) - so you'd better retain 'proof' of the 'offense' if you intend to press charges! )
How To Control Cookies
Better than wasting decades or centuries fighting an internet 'rape' case through the maze of EU bureaucracy against a global multinational or transnational, just get any app(s) from a bona fide freeware/site you trust is against the placing of 'spy' cookies on citizens' devices and use it on whichever device(s) you would normally browse with.
If you have a desktop or laptop, mobile phone, or Ipad or Ipod you can simply set your computer or device browser not to accept cookies and delete all cookies already on your computer.

Do be aware that if you delete all cookies some services and functionalities on your computer or browsing device might not work.
Remember that some of these cookies are placed for bona fide purposes - such as to monitor the technical workings of programs, identify malware or backdoors or viruses and quickly report their existence back to the software developer so that they can swiftly come up with worldwide solutions to get your device back up and running again. Think of the 'good guys' or 'gals' like the sensors in an airplane continuously and passively reporting back (on the integrity of certain components) to the plane's manufacturer whilst an aircraft is in flight.

Was Dominique Strauss-Kahn Set Up?

I met on Sunday with an individual who gave me information not yet in the public domain about the unnamed chambermaid making allegations against the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Director, Mr Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the intended main challenger to President Sarkozy as the next President of France. The person I met said, basically, that the woman involved in the allegation has a history of sexual dysfunctionality which makes here prone to making allegations after suggestive encounters towards men-not for attention seeking reasons but because of her own profile and background with relationships going back to her childhood. ‘’Because she is an immigrant her own background as a child may be hard to uncover and she is also in the unique position of having complete anonymity under US law-until she decides voluntarily to ‘cash in’ on this affair.’’ As the alleged victim,should anyone attempt to reveal her identity they too become liable to criminal prosecution. At this point, whether guilty or not, Strauss-Kahn is ruined politically and socially. ‘’The only people with the capability of unearthing the facts are the USCIS the FBI and the CIA and most likely all three agencies will be required to take a back seat as it’s a US Police local state (not Federal) matter and only the Justice Department will be involved.’’ As a Euro sceptic I have always been against most things which are EU-orientated. Indeed for many years I have supported an anti-European Union group as I share it’s sentiments-so I am the last person in the world to want to say any good words about the EU or it’s officials. Why would anyone want to ‘set-up’ Strauss-Kahn and who benefits from his absence from key talks about the Euro and it’s future hanging as they are in the balance? What would be the global implications of the collapse of the Euro as a single currency and how would it affect the dollar? Strauss-Kahn is undoubtedly a brilliant economist and visionary in his own field. He is singularly credited with saving the Euro from collapse by his ability to persuade Germany to buy into a rescue package with the prospect that it will emerge as the economic super-giant of the European continent when the European economies recover-which they eventually will. How would this emergence affect Europe’s relationship with the United States and the rest of the world? Let’s stick with the facts as known at present and remove the hype. Is it credible to believe that Mr Strauss-Kahn would, without being solicited, actively commit a sexual assault of the kind he is being accused of? The answer is currently unknown but as in the Julian Assange (WikiLeaks) case, there are troubling doubts-not about his guilt but about the scenarios of alleged guilt given the critical timings. ''Even if he is eventually proved to be guilty of attempted rape that does not preclude the possibility of him having being set up to commit a crime. Entrapment of high-profile individuals by rival companies and corporations is not unknown in the world in which we live.'' It is known that there have been prior issues affecting Mr Strauss-Kahn in his work environment and this alone is likely to heighten suspicions about his guilt-even before a fair trial. Already today an individual in France is alleging attempted assault and other individuals may see this as the time to also bring forward past affairs or grievances. ''These issues however were matters, as I gather, which could affect many co-workers working or travelling together for prolong periods of time and under great stress and should not have a bearing on any current accusation-but in this case they undoubtedly will-making it impossible for Mr Strauss-Kahn to be given a fair trial in the United States in the glare of media publicity which will now devour every aspect of the man’s private and public life.'' Back to the crises in Europe. Mr Strauss-Kahn is being replaced in these complex negotiations between economically ailing Euro zone countries and the IMF by someone who has only months of experience as a Deputy Director and lacks the charisma and ‘fixing’ abilities across so complex an economic structure which Strauss-Kahn is reputed to possess. Why is such an international high profile individual who cannot flee nor hide anywhere in the world being held in custody and not released on bail to continue his work-which is critical to the future of Europe? Even if he is released on bail or bond assurance, such is the damage done to his reputation that he may find it impossible to function in his current role at this critical juncture in EU-IMF relations such will be the detraction of this issue. This will have immediate effects on the course and direction of the negotiations-especially if European leaders lose faith in his credibility-which is highly likely. Of course everyone can be replaced-but in time. So the timing is critical in this instance. The Justice Department of The United States is fully aware of his role in IMF discussions aimed at saving the Euro and ensuring that Portugal, Greece, Spain and Ireland do not default so why are they not prepared to release him on bail in order that this work, vital to the unity of the European continent as an economic block can continue? They would quite rightly answer because he is being arrainged on a serious criminal matter and the issue of bail and bond is a matter for a judge at a hearing and is not the Justice Department's decision. In so high profile a case, The New York State Criminal Justice Department, the U.S. Justice Department and even The State Department could conceivably intervene with their own conflicting recommendations. The alternative interpretation of this event could be very troubling and not at all related to the alleged crime. Which currency, I was asked, most benefits with the collapse of the Euro as a single currency? ''The dollar has never been in a more precarious condition than it is today-under pressure from the Yuan. The emerging Russian Rouble is poised to affect the Eurozone in a way Strauss-Kahn has been working to positively and co-operatively pre-empt.'' Russia managed to prevent a global meltdown of its financial and industrial institutions several years ago when, what it perceived as an external conspiracy to place control of it's key strategic resources into the hands of hostile foreign corporations and place the country into a future situation of indebtedness was foiled. President Putin, a former intelligence officer, could never prove a conspiracy to bankrupt and seriously indebt the country so Russian authorities responded by promptly arresting and serving warrants for the arrest of all the oligarchs they could get within it’s own territory who were believed to be part of this unproven conspiracy and charged them on spurious economic crimes grounds-justified or not. Today, the Rouble is, like the Yuan, emerging as one of the future challengers to the Dollar-and the Euro-worldwide. Strauss-Kahn was involved in other delicate discussions-to bring the European Union and Russia into a closer economic union-and to persuade The German Chancellor Merkel to accept Turkey as a de facto associate member of the European Union with the issues of Cyprus and immigration being left for longer term settlement-should the Turks agree not to press for full membership. From what I gather, a complex man involved in intricate and complex issues profoundly affecting all our lives-now incarcerated in a U.S. jail and being paraded by U.S. Detectives from court hearing to court hearing as an indicted common criminal. The gut instinct of Chancellor Merkel and other European politicians will be to drop him like a stone as the political fall-out from having such an albatross could be even more damaging. No doubt many former colleagues will now try to distance themselves as far as possible from Mr Strauss-Kahn fearing the outcome on their own political careers. Strauss-Kahn’s impact as the most likely future President of France would have been even more profound. Even the incumbent President, Sarkozy, would admit he (Sarkozy) is not a brilliant economist. Having a man like Strauss Kahn running France and with German money and drive behind him, this powerful combination could have conceivably lifted Europe out of the economic recession faster than it will now take with the absence of so powerful an alliance of brilliance, brains, connections, fixing ability money and brawn - as all in unison would have effectively implemented an EU-structured Marshall Plan to save the economic union. Should any of the above prove true, (and I have been offered nor am offering any proof), then key personnel involved in critical aspects of EU policies may well be advised to take extra special precautions to avoid entrapment when on business or holiday trips abroad. If such proves to be the case, it would be reminiscent of the Cold War days when civil servants and other commercial and local government officials were expressly forbidden to travel behind the Iron Curtain without governmental permission It may well also be advisable to have a new set of rules governing the arrest of suspects so as to ensure that all are guaranteed protection from publicity under the law until conviction takes place as often the unproven allegations alone can destroy a life and a career. . The stakes are very high-a fact not appreciated by the general public since it's difficult to have access to a complete picture of exactly what is happening and how one issue affects another in a world where information overload creates as much confusion as it's paucity. Either this story represents the personal tragedy and the untimely end of a brilliant career of an individual who has succumbed to human failings at a most historically unfortunate time for Europe or a new, very vicious and very ugly chapter is emerging in the global fight for currency domination. I would hope that the former is the case so that one day Mr Strauss-Kahn and his victim will both be able to re-build their shattered lives and that the victim of this crime will see the justice she deserves. In conclusion, in the world we live, human failings and high public office do not go hand in hand. Is it any wonder that the most gifted and able individuals in this world avoid politics, high profile and public office like the plague. Radioactive Traces from the Fukushima Nuclear Disaster Found in California Wine

ollowing the 2011 Fukushima nuclear power plant accident, radioactive waste leaked into surrounding areas and contaminated waters and food. Seven years later, traces of the disaster were found half a world away — in California's wine. A group of French nuclear physicists tested 18 bottles of California's rosé and cabernet sauvignon produced in 2009 and onward and found that the wines produced after the disaster had increased levels of a man-made radioactive particle.
